Dixie Jo Bowen, 89, of Greendale, Ind., passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024. She was born September 23, 1934, in Glade Springs, Va., daughter of the late Tom and Madge (Eades) Orr.
 Dixie was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Greendale. She was involved with Tri Kappa and Baby Baskets. She was a fan of yard sales. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked as a registered nurse at Toledo Children’s Hospital.
 She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Gerald Bowen; son, Paul (Carol) Bowen of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Patricia (Blaine) Kirk of Lawrenceburg, Ind., Nancy (Paul) Kim of Waterford, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Billie Jo, Devon, Blake, Matt, Kristina, Amanda; and 17 great-grandchildren.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Madge Orr.
 Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Greendale. Funeral services will be held at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Friday, July 19, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. with Pastor Phil Garber officiating.
