Dianna Carter, 74, of Milan, Ind., passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025. She was born August 1, 1950, in Milan, daughter of the late Kermit and Lucy (Anderson) Widener.
 Dianna was an avid gamer playing numerous games online with other players. She enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. She liked to sew and was an excellent cook. She loved spending time with her family.
 She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Vanriper of Milan, Holly (Bradley) Hartman of Sunman, Ind.; four brothers, Harold (CiCi) Widener of Rising Sun, Terry (Brenda) Widener of Aurora, Ind., David Hess of Batesville, Ind., Paul (Carol) Hess of Batesville, Ind.; three sisters, Nellie (Randy) Lageman of Moores Hill, Ind., Betty (Devon) Short of Moores Hill, Donna Simpson of Sunman, Ind.; six grandchildren, Katherine Rowe, Joshua Bruns, Adam Bruns, Matthew Hartman, Brandon Hartman, Kasey Hartman; and her two great-grandchildren, Mason Rowe, Ryder Hartman.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Lucy Widener; two brothers, Ronnie Widener, Jimmy Widener; sister, Jeanette Brock; niece, Shannon Short; and her nephew, Joseph Simpson.
 Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Friday, February 28, 2025, at 12 p.m.
 Interment will follow in Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Ind.
