Deborah Ann Gonterman, 74, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. She was born September 1, 1950, in Evansville, Ind., daughter of the late Donald and Mary (Appleby) Gonterman.
Debbie had a variety of interests and loved to be active. She excelled academically as a member of The International Honor Society and received full college scholarships from both University of Evansville and Indiana State University. She was an animal lover, a yoga enthusiast, a skilled seamstress, a wicked typist, an avid reader, a Boyd’s Bear collector, and the BEST red velvet cake baker on the planet earth! She was also the most loyal, loving dedicated Mom, Nanny, sister and friend to all who loved her. She worked at Fernald for 40 years.
She is survived by her son, Rob (Erin) Moorman of Greendale, Ind.; daughter, Lori (Justin) Blackburn of Greendale; brother, Donald (Debbie) Gonterman Jr. of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, Ryan Moorman, Erika Moorman, Lindsay (Joe) Vance, Dylan May, Baylee Blackburn, Jasmyn Blackburn; two great-grandchildren, Greyson Vance, Maverick May; nephew, Ricky Gonterman; and two nieces, Jennifer Horton, Andrea Julian.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Gonterman, Sr.; mother, Mary Frances Gonterman; and her brother, Ricky Gonterman.
Family and friends were received on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 7 p.m.
