Mrs. Connie Sue (Lester) Emery, 69, of Vevay entered this life on June 13, 1954, in Milan. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Albert “Red” and Nora E. (O’Connor) Lester. She was raised in Rising Sun where she attended school. Connie was united in marriage to Ernest Omer Richards, Sr. on July 8, 1968, in Rising Sun and to this union arrived three children. She was later united in marriage on September 12, 1988, to John William Emery in Patriot. Connie and John shared nearly 13 years of marriage together until his passing on April 10, 2001. Connie was a former custodian for the Cincinnati Airport for one year. She was later employed on the assembly line for Campbell Hausfeld in Harrison, Ohio for three years. She was also employed for Sunray Eggs in Rising Sun, Ind., for several years. She loved babysitting her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She enjoyed going to the casino, crafts, playing bingo, quilting and sewing. Connie was baptized at the Switzerland Baptist Church on February 11, 2024. Connie passed away with her loving family by her side at 10:44 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at her residence in Vevay.
 Survivors: daughter, Edith (Steve) Schlensker of Vevay; sons, Ernie (Tammy) Richards, Jr. of Rising Sun and Glenn (Travis Shane) Richards of Osgood; grandchildren, Ernie Richards, III., Amanda Richards (Brandon Henderson), Whitney Black (Brenton), Ashley Arthur (Brad), Steven Richards and Amber Peters (Cody); great-grandchildren, Landon Richards, Abby Henderson, Lincoln Peters, Kinsley Peters, Kaleigh Stewart, Peyton Richards, Trinidi Richards, Kole Barret, Ariana Richards and Jaelah Richards; brothers, Robert, Wayne, Frank and Dale (Dorothy) Lester; sisters, Bonnie Henderson and Lenora “Jenny” (Alvin) Walston and nieces and nephews.
 Preceded in death by parents; husbands, Ernest Omer Richards, Sr. and John William Emery; granddaughter, Melissa Neve Johnson; grandson, Nicholas Todd Richards; brother, Norman Lester; sister-in-law, Delina Lester and brother-in-law, Larry Henderson.
