Charles A. Marshall, of Whitewater Township, passed away at the age of 96 on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022, at his home.

He was born on Aug. 13, 1926, in Highland County, Ohio, to the late Elmont Wm and Edith Maye (nee Eubanks) Marshall. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy as a signalman in the South Pacific. He married Mary Elizabeth Korner on Nov. 30, 1957. Charles worked as a truck driver for Roadway Express. He retired in 1985 and received a Safe Driving Award for 33 years without an accident. 

Preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary (nee Korner) Marshall; son: Gary Marshall; great granddaughter: Gabriella Campbell; parents: Elmont Wm and Edith Maye (nee Eubanks) Marshall; siblings: William Marshall, Florence Leone Overbey and Donny D. Marshall.

Those left to cherish his memory are his dear children: Terry Marshall, Rick (Mary) Marshall, Debbie (Jon) Dierdorf, JoAnn (Bobby) Chandler: daughter-in-law: Angie Marshall; cherished grandchildren: Kristen (Jason) Campbell, Carrie (Larry) Edmister, Kelli (Scott) Tungay, Matt Dierdorf, Colleen (Andy), Leslie (Kyle), Kyle (Ally), Gary Marshall, & Penny Mendoza; great–grandchildren: Samuel Campbell, Nathanael, Isaiah, Jeremiah Edmister, Jacob & Vivian.

Visitation and services were at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, Ohio, on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022. Burial was in Arlington Memorial Gardens.
