Charles (Charlie) McAdams, 84, formerly of Lawrenceburg, Ind., passed away on Wednesday, August 28 at Gulf Coast Hospital, Panama City, Fla. His wife Mona and son Greg McAdams were by his side at the time of his passing.
Charlie was born December 3, 1939, in Lawrenceburg and was the son of Guard and Frankie McAdams. He attended Lawrenceburg Schools and then enlisted into the United States Army. After his military service, Charlie went to work in 1961 at Thatcher Glass, Greendale. He retired after 42 years of employment.
Charlie was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching sports on television. He was proud of his 299-bowling score at E-Town Bowl. He was a great supporter of his son Greg as he became involved in many sports.
After retirement, Charlie and his wife Mona relocated to the state of Arizona and Florida. He enjoyed taking walks with his wife Mona in city parks, visits with family members and friends and working his daily crossword puzzle and Sudoku.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mona, his son Greg McAdams (Judy), Lawrenceburg, and his grandson Justin McAdams, Sunman; his stepchildren: Billy Seymour (Katherine), Louisville, Ky., Patty Seymour, Greendale, Ind., Cathy Weismiller, Lawrenceburg, Jim Seymour (Debbie) Dillsboro, Ind., nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guard and Frankie McAdams, his brother Jerry McAdams, and sister Patty Barrows.
There will be a Celebration of Life scheduled at a later date.
