Alice Elizabeth Miller, 82 of Burlington, Kentucky, formerly of Greendale, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021, in her home of natural causes. Alice, born to the late Andrew and Jane Ahaus of Greendale, Indiana, March 17, 1938.

River’s too wide for crossing

As river levels continue to rise, the workers at the Sinclair gas station on Third Street in Aurora keep a close eye on the water. “Right now, we’re not panicking, we’re not concerned because it’s supposed to crest at 56 and at 56 feet, we’re good,” Sinclair store manager Sherry Bruce said.

Applications available for OCCF scholarships

Applications for the 2021 Continuing Education Scholarships administered by the Ohio County Community Foundation are currently available on the foundation website at occfrisingsun.com. The scholarships were established by donors with a vision to provide educational grants for current college students and adults wishing to continue their education or begin working toward a degree.

Army vaccinates at Ivy Tech

It looked like the Army had taken over the third floor of the Ivy Tech building in Lawrenceburg. But it was the Army National Guard, and one Air National Guard, who were there administering COVID vaccinations in a mobile clinic last week.
