Rising Sun Cub Scouts enjoyed one of their favorite events Saturday, March 13 – the annual Pinewood Derby. This year, the derby, at the Ohio County Historical Society and Museum, as with everything else, looked a bit different this year.

Dearborn Highlands Arts Council 2021 Youth Art winners have been selected. This year’s winners are: • Harper Slayback (Homeschool), • Ayla Pearson (Greendale Middle School), • Abigail Bowling (East Central High School), and • Best of Show winner Isabelle Lowry (East Central High School).
Dave O’Mara Contractor was awarded the bid to pave Rising Sun streets this summer as part of the Community Crossings grant. Rising Sun City Council voted for the O’Mara contract after three bids came in on the project.
