PAINTING A MURAL
Students in Kim Lyttle’s art classes at Moores Hill School are working on a Collaboration Project. Students in each class are participating in a different part of an end of the year mural to hang in the halls of Moores Hill School. Food growers group receives grant
The Food and Growers Association of Dearborn, Decatur, Franklin, Jackson, Ripley, Rush, Shelby and Union counties has received a $14,720 Food Council Development Grant from Indian Grown. The association was one of five that receives grants from Indiana Grown.

With the pandemic continuing to take a toll on mental health, State Reps. Randy Lyness (R-West Harrison) and Cindy Ziemke (R-Batesville) encourage Hoosiers to turn to Indiana’s Be Well Crisis Helpline, a free and confidential resource already helping thousands of people across the state.

Help wanted for road cleanup
There are two cleanup sessions coming up in the county. State Line Road, between the two entrances to Augusta, will be cleaned from 8:30 a.m.-noon on Saturday, April 10.
Trabel named as Academic All-State
Lydia Trabel, East Central High School, was recognized as a 2021 Regional Academic All-Star by the Indiana Association of School Principals. Academic All-Star distinction recognizes seniors who excel in the classroom first and foremost, but who also are actively involved in their schools and communities, and take on leadership roles in those activities.

Leah Smith of Dillsboro has earned a Bachelor of Science, nursing degree from Western Governors University (WGU). The online, nonprofit university has graduated over 218,000 students from across the country since its inception in 1997.
