Two receive Woodmen scholarships

Two recent high school graduates from Lawrenceburg have been awarded WoodmenLife Focus Forward Scholarships. The students, who are all WoodmenLife members, submitted applications highlighting their high school grades, activities and volunteerism, as well as an essay on patriotism.

L’burg softball gets first win for Coach Sprague

LAWRENCEBURG - Lawrenceburg softball presented first-year head coach Hannah Sprague with her first career win in Wednesday’s 6-1 home victory over Jac-Cen-Del. Sprague, a 2015 East Central graduate and former Lady Trojans standout, who matriculated from Thomas More University in 2019, saw her first season at LHS scrubbed when the IHSAA canceled spring sports across the board in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Clean up on aisle Aurora

The Aurora City-Wide Clean Up will be Thursday April 22, through Saturday, April 24. The cleanup will be restricted to Aurora residences only; an Aurora utility bill must be provided or you will be subjected to dumping fees.
