Antique market returns

The Tri-State Antique Market will open for its first show of 2021 on Sunday, May 2, at the Lawrenceburg Fairgrounds. During a typical year the event features an ever changing line up of 200-plus vendors selling a wide array of antique, vintage and retro merchandise from a variety of time periods and price points on the first Sunday of each month through October (June 6, July 4, Aug.

Watch out for farm equipmen

Spring weather is here and farmers are beginning to plant their crops across the state’s 15 million acres of farmland. The Indiana State Department of Agriculture and several state agencies are reminding Hoosier motorists to be alert, be courteous and be patient when they encounter farm equipment on Indiana’s rural roads.

New Life Squad

Thanks to funding from the Rising Sun Regional Foundation, the Ohio County Rescue team was able to purchase a new ambulance and cot to transport their patients. A $40,000 grant helped to pay for the ambulance and another $11,000 grant went toward the purchase of the new cot. SUBMITTED PHOTO
