Sunday was special growing up. For my parents, it meant that the newspaper was on our porch waiting to be read, and for me, it meant the funnies were in color. I would read through them, never quite understanding the humor, but I would pretend like I did. We eventually stopped buying the paper, and it no longer was delivered to our front porch. I stopped reading the funnies, and I grew uninterested in the news since no one around me talked about it.

A record snowfall for April 21 left the grass and non hard surfaces covered with about 2 inches of snow at Lawrenceburg’s Ludlow Hill Park Wednesday morning. The Ohio County Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society inducted new and returning members on March 2. To become a member of this prestigious group, students had to meet certain academic standards and behavioral guidelines. The Dearborn County Purdue Extension Office is hosting a Virtual Pond Clinic from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, April 23.
COVID-19 cases are climbing in Dearborn County and that is why the state has moved the county from the Blue status to the Yellow status as of Wednesday, April 21. The move comes after the county Health Department reported there were 46 positives tests in the week of April 12-18, with 114 negative tests.
