Aurora had its annual Clean Up Days last week, and several dumpsters were filled just on the first day, April 22. The Rising Sun United Methodist Church will once again be collecting items for the United Methodist Mountain Mission Truck, May 14-18. Use cardboard boxes, because they stack much easier than bags in the back of the trucks and the cardboard will be sold for gas money.

AURORA - After leading 8-0 early, South Dearborn softball seemed on the verge of a blowout victory over visiting Rising Sun Tuesday. But Coach Anna Eggleston’s Lady Knights (4-5), who had dropped 4 of their previous 5 games, had to get that old sinking feeling again when the Shiners (6-4) rallied for a total of 5 runs in the fourth through sixth innings.
