Railroad work closing streets

CSX Railroad has a tie team that will be replacing ties in the railroad crossings starting in Butlerville and are working toward Lawrenceburg. The team will have to close down several crossings for two to three days while they replace the ties in the railroad crossings.

Final farewell

The parade sirens of numerous Moores Hill emergency vehicles sang a final song in remembrance of the town’s soon closing elementary school May 16. Set to shutter its doors at the end of the school year, past students of all ages attended a community event celebrating the school.

A watery way to help

A festival-like fundraiser organized by Realtor Blake Haag and Daniel Cole, of Cole’s Mobile Car Wash, this past weekend will help “fill the pool” in Aurora. The fundraiser, Splish Splash, May 15 and 16 at Aurora City park, raised money to buy amenities for the city’s new pool to provide a more enjoyable experience for patrons.
