Police sell old Tahoe
A 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe that is no longer used by the Rising Sun Police Department was sold to Darrell Shell, the highest bidder at $5,000. The money will be deposited into the police department’s criminal investigation fund.

Michael Joseph Huff, 63, of Florence, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Kentucky. Michael was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on March 17, 1958, a son of Donald Huff, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and the late Doris (Romer) Huff.

Southwest Local Schools will host three graduation ceremonies on Friday, May 28. The district will honor 2020 graduates with a ceremony at 4:30 p.m.
After taking last year off due to the pandemic, the Rising Sun High School cheerleaders were back for their third year hosting Princess Night May 21. The annual fundraiser raises money for the cheer squad and is put on by the cheerleaders, their coaches, and parent volunteers.
Daniel Finley of Harrison has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s Winter 2021 President’s List. The winter term runs from January to May.
