Woman charged with driving car in Civista robbery
The man accused of robbing the Civista Bank in Lawrenceburg April 26 died two days after being arrested in Hamilton County, Ohio. According to Dearborn County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens, Stephen Eggert, 57, died April 28 at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Shelf-stable and ready to eat meal boxes contain seven dinners and seven snacks.
It’s getting hotter, school is out – pools are opening
Public pools around the area are opening up this year, some for the first time since 2019. Here is information on the pools: Greendale The pool in Greendale Park, on Nowlin Avenue, opens Saturday, May 29 The popular pool which attracts adults and children alike was closed last year due to COVID-19.

Many on Harrison’s Role of Honor are still in this area
In the earliest part of the 20th century, around 1900, the editors of the Harrison News, the village’s local paper at that time, published a historical patriotic booklet. This publication entitled, “The Roll of Honor – Harrison in the Civil War,” listed every known man who served in the Union Army, from Harrison, just around 35 years prior.

Harrison/Great Oaks students among top business students
More than 10,000 of the top business and marketing high school students in the world gathered virtually in April to match skills and talent at the DECA International Career Development Conference. When the competitions were done, four students from the Harrison/ Great Oaks program were among the top 20 worldwide in their event.
SD employees will receive stipend
South Dearborn Schools employees will get a little something for their work. The school board voted May 18 to provide a one-time financial stipend as an act of appreciation for their services.
