Follow the River shows off area’s history
A chance to enjoy the history around the Ohio River is this weekend during Follow the River, a self-guided tour of Dearborn and Ohio counties. The weekend is coordinated by the Dearborn County Historical Society, the Ohio County Historical Society, Main Street Aurora & Rising Sun Main Street.

Maxwell, Griffin head to track state finals
INDIANAPOLIS - East Central’s Leo Maxwell and Nathan Griffin are headed to Friday’s IHSAA Boys Track and Field State Finals after qualifying in 3 different events at the Warren Central regional. Ranked among the stater leaders in discus and shot put all spring, Maxwell, a junior standout for Coach Ashley Andres’ Trojans, finished second in both events last Thursday, May 27 at the state’s traditionally toughest register site, on the east side of Indianapolis.
Tennis Tigers’ Cinderella run stops in semistate
GREENWOOD - Lawrenceburg’s history-making girls tennis season of 2021 came to an end in Saturday’s IHSAA semistate at Center Grove High School. On an overcast and unseasonably cool late afternoon on the far south side of Indianapolis, Coach Alisa McMullen’s Lady Tigers (18-3 final) fell 4-1 to an unbeaten (25-0) Sullivan team.
