Boy Scout Troop 605 had an Eagle Scout ceremony for Robert Michael Bailey at his grandmother’s house , Debbie Cole, at Abeerdeen on June 18. It was attended by a lot of friends, relatives, and Boys Scouts. Bailey earned the required 21 merit badges for Eagle and 10 more merit badges for two Palms to be put on his ribbon. The Eagle badge was presented by Scout leaders Ken Alwin and Michael Macku with his grandparents present, Jim Cole and Debbie Hayes Cole.

Dear Editor: The Rising Sun-Ohio County Parks Department and the Rising Sun Street Department would like to thank the Ohio County Community Foundation for the $500 grant that we received to assist in the purchase of four pet waste stations that will be placed along the River Front walking trail. These pet waste stations will provide more access to areas where pet waste can be discarded.
