OSGOOD - Back-to-back conference wins over Switzerland County and Madison Shawe last week had Rising Sun baseball making noise about jumping back into the ORVC race. But a 6-5 cliffhanger loss at Jac-Cen-Del Friday night may have ended the Shiners’ slim title hopes, leaving Coach Kevin Wirsch’s club at 7-9 overall and 5-4 in Ohio River Valley Conference play - good for fourth place with 3 league contests left this week.

VEVAY - Trying to hang in the Ohio River Valley Conference race, Rising Sun baseball threw the brakes on a 3-game skid with Friday’s 12-7 win at Switzerland County.
