Shannon Linquist of Dillsboro has earned Dean’s List honors for the Spring 2021 semester at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. The Dean’s List recognizes full-time undergraduate students who complete a minimum of 12 graded credit hours and who achieve a semester average of 3.5 without a D, F, or Incomplete grade.

Three Dearborn County students have been awarded one of 200 scholarships to the fifth class of Next Generation Hoosier Educators awarded by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. Emma Crouse of East Central High School, and Rachel Rohe and Caitlin Teaney of South Dearborn High School were selected through a competitive process based on academic achievement and other factors.

Rising Sun/Ohio County Community Schools has decided to expand its preschool program to include 3-year-old children. Up until the 2020-2021 school year, the age cut off was 4 years old.
