Two Great Oaks associates and a Great Oaks board member have been chosen to be part of the new Inclusion, Access, Equity and Diversity (IAED) Mentorship Program launched by the Association for Career and Technical Education.
Taylor Oberjohann of Harrison was among the seven Ohio Connections Academy (OCA) students to receive a Prudential Spirit of Community Award in recognition of their volunteer service to the community. Oberjohann, an eighth grader at the online public charter school, worked with school, city and county officials, as well as representatives from Duke Energy, to replace and upgrade traffic and crosswalk lighting signals in front of the local middle school to ensure the safety of the pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
