Harrison online student awarded for community service

Taylor Oberjohann of Harrison was among the seven Ohio Connections Academy (OCA) students to receive a Prudential Spirit of Community Award in recognition of their volunteer service to the community. Oberjohann, an eighth grader at the online public charter school, worked with school, city and county officials, as well as representatives from Duke Energy, to replace and upgrade traffic and crosswalk lighting signals in front of the local middle school to ensure the safety of the pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

Mulvaney on Honors List

Dallas Mulvaney, of Harrison, who is studying for a bachelor’s in nursing (RNBSN Completion), made the Honors List at Mercy College of Ohio in Toledo. To be named on the Honor’s List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.3 or higher and be enrolled for 6-11 credit hours..
