USI Dean’s List The following students were named to the Dean’ List at the University of Southern Indiana for the spring 2021 semester: Robin E. Lusby of Aurora.
More than 10,000 of the top business and marketing high school students in the world gathered virtually in April to match skills and talent at the DECA International Career Development Conference. When the competitions were done, four students from the Harrison/ Great Oaks program were among the top 20 worldwide in their event.

Excitement is in the air as the Harrison Junior School/ Great Oaks VEX Robotics Team 1254A prepares for the 2021 World Championship. They are the first team in the school’s history to qualify for world competition after competing at the state level.
Dillsboro Civic Club officers and board members gathered at Dillsboro Elementary School to present a check for $5,000 towards the new playground. Students from each class and principal, Kyle Miller, accepted the contribution to the Dillsboro PTO for their playground fundraising campaign.
Three Dearborn County students have been awarded one of 200 scholarships to the fifth class of Next Generation Hoosier Educators awarded by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. Emma Crouse of East Central High School, and Rachel Rohe and Caitlin Teaney of South Dearborn High School were selected through a competitive process based on academic achievement and other factors.
