HARRISON – As we conclude another successful school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the important community engagement efforts that have been a central part of our work at Southwest Local Schools.
Top seniors at Rising Sun HS
The Rising Sun High School presented the top 10 seniors certificates for the achievement at a luncheon at the Ohio County Historical Museum Building. This was put on by Cliff Thies and the board of the Ohio County Historic Museum Society.
Dillsboro Elementary honors
This is the third quarter honor roll from Dillsboro Elementary.
Robotics teachers receive grant for upgrades
SUNMAN – Heather Lunsford and Mallory Hummer, coaches for the robotic team at Sunman Elementary School, received a grant sponsored by the Sunman-Dearborn Educators Association to purchase upgrades for the technology for their program.

Endowment corporation will provide free school supplies
ST. LEON – The Sunman-Dearborn School Endowment Corp. will provide free K-fifth-grade school supplies for all students in the corporation. This initiative, which began in 2019, will once again ensure that families in the district have one less worry as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
