Cincinnati State expanding aviation program
HARRISON – Cincinnati State Technical and Community College will expand the Harrison campus to add to the FAA-certified aviation maintenance technician training program.
Community foundation awards community grants
RISING SUN –The Ohio County Community Foundation awarded a total of $43,242 in Community Grants to 12 local non-profits during the first grant cycle of 2025. Each organization could request up to $5,000.

HARRISON - Emily Kohls crossed the finish line in either 2 hours, 9 minutes, or 2:11 (her watch is apparently two seconds faster than the official timing chip). Twenty-seven minutes later, her stepson, Addisen, crossed the same line. She had run 13.1 miles; he, 26.2. Different courses to the same destination, both exceeding hopes and expectations.

Miami Whitewater hosting pollinator race, festival
CROSBY TOWNSHIP – Great Parks salutes pollinators who support the natural world and produce so much of our food with the second annual Pollinator Festival and 5K race at Miami Whitewater Forest Harbor on Saturday, May 17. The 5K race gets started at 9 a.m., with the festival running from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
