
New organization advocates for responsible growth in southeast Indiana
RISING SUN – Members of a local citizen advocacy group have established a new organization to advocate for responsible growth in Southeast Indiana.The Southeast Indiana Residents for Responsible Growth is a nonprofit that intends to represent residents in any economic and development decisions that take place in the region in the future.The organization was established by members of Stop Link 101, an opposition group to the construction of the Link 101 roadway corridor.“It came into being as we were thinking about Southeastern Indiana, it’s one of the most well-preserved areas in the state,” said Tracy Stegall, secretary of the nonprofit and a prominent member of Stop Link 101.
