DEARBORN COUNTY – The county got some good news Wednesday, but won’t see any work for about five years.The Indiana Department of Transportation is giving the county $1.532 million to replace the bridge on Bells Branch Road near Clay Miller Road in the southwest part of the county near Farmers Retreat.The money is part of federal transportation funding being awarded to 51 cities, towns, and counties in rural portions of Indiana to invest in local road and bridge improvements and sidewalk projects.County Engineer Todd Listerman said this is just for the construction part of the work; additional funds are needed for design and engineering of the bridge.
