Construction of a 36-foot x 12-foot life-size flatboat replica in honor of Rising Sun’s founders is underway at the Ohio County Historical Society and Museum. Ohio County offered its first round of COVID-19 vaccinations Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the Rising Sun Church of Christ. The first shipment of 100 Moderna vaccines were offered to residents 80 years and older and frontline healthcare workers. Spots for the vaccinations booked quickly and were administered on Tuesdays and Thursdays for two weeks.
