School buys coffee for healthcare workers

The pandemic made the year difficult for a lot of people, so Crosby Elementary staff and students wanted to find a way to give back to the community and have fun while doing it. The school raised money and paid for a coffee truck to go to Shawneespring of Harrison Healthcare and Rehabilitation facility on National Caregivers Day, which was Feb.19.

Board unanimous in closing school

Moores Hill Elementary will be closing at the end of this school year after a 7-0 vote by the South Dearborn School Corporation board. Saving the corporation money so it can be put to managing the declining enrollment, enhancing curriculum and extracurriculars for all students, and securing necessary funding to pay staff were reasons in the discussion of shutting the school down.
