HONOR LINE

Workers with the Rising Sun Street Department recently painted a red line in between the double yellow line already dividing the part of High Street that runs in front of the Rising Sun Volunteer Fire Department. The red line was added to show respect and appreciation for the local fire department and its volunteers. The idea was introduced a few months ago when Rising Sun resident Sunshine Colen saw the idea on Facebook and proposed that the city paint blue lines on the streets in front of and beside the Rising Sun Police Department. The city implemented her idea and followed it up with also recognizing the firefighters. SUBMITTED PHOTO
