Court appearance for man who allegedly drove at deputy

The Lawrenceburg man wanted for attempted murder of a Dearborn County Sheriff deputy is expected to appear in court today. Daniel Widener, 45, was arrested late on the night of March 18 in Lawrenceburg by officers with the US Marshals, Indiana State Police, Lawrenceburg Police Department, Dearborn County Special Crimes Unit and the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office.

Pence visit

Vaccination visit

U. S. Congressman Greg Pence (R– 6th District) visited the Dearborn County vaccination clinic at the Lawrenceburg Event Center Monday morning. Pence, at right, spoke with county Health Director Dr. Stephen Eliason, left, about the set-up and the operations of the clinic. About 15 people, including health department workers who staff the clinic, were on hand.
