There will soon be more housing in Dillsboro. The city and developers of the just started Serenity Pines subdivision broke ground May 13 in what they hope will be about 40 new homes.

Saturday, May 1, was a celebration for three businesses and a ribbon cutting in downtown Aurora. The ribbon cutting sponsored by Main Street Aurora welcomed Uncle Steel’s Brews, 315 Second St.
The Greendale Pool is opening on Saturday, May 29. Located in Greendale Park at corner of Nowlin Avenue and Park Street, city officials decided not to open the pool last year during the pandemic.
The Board of Works for Greendale approved one day recycling pickup unanimously at its meeting on May 12. City Manager Steve Lampert said the pickup will be on Thursday as opposed to picking up the north end on Thursday and the south end, Valley Woods, Oberting and Ind.
The Indiana Department of Transportation will host hiring fairs at 10 locations across the state on Thursday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Greendale Board of Works will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at the City Administration Building, 500 Ridge Ave.
The Greendale Redevelopment Commission is scheduling a special meeting at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 13, at 500 Ridge Ave.
The Bright Farmers Market will open for the season on Friday May 28. The market will be open form 3 to 6:30 p.m.
This year, since it is an odd-numbered year, a statewide voter list maintenance project is being performed by the Indiana Election Division. In accordance with state and federal law, this project consists of two mailers beginning on May 17, according to Dearborn Coun ty Clerk of the Circuit Court Gail L.
