Useful data was collected at Miami Whitewater Forest as a part of the City Nature Challenge. Now, parks in Hamilton County will have record of about 800 species of plants and animals. Great Parks and Cincinnati Parks teamed up to represent Cincinnati in the challenge.
Harrison Republicans picked the four people they want to be on the November general election ballot. In unofficial results from the Hamilton County Board of Elections from the May 4 primary election, Matt Hackworth, Ryan Grubbs, Mark Robbe and Jerry Wilson.

The ribbon was cut at the Harrison Trail Health Campus last week. One of the campus’s first residents – Jane Marvin – cut the ribbon marking the official open of the facility.
Cicadas are somewhat harmless – if you don’t mind high pitch singing for hours on end while you’re trying to enjoy the outdoors. They don’t bite and they aren’t poisonous, and you can actually enjoy them as a nice snack, if you’re into that.

Harrison Township residents are showing the opposite of love to the idea of a Love’s Travel Stop in the township. The topic was brought up at both the township trustees meeting and the Harrison City Council meeting.
A class at Harrison High School is giving back by making dog treats. Students in JamieLyn Johnson’s law and public safety class carefully crafted thousands of homemade dog treats and have already raised over $600.
A passion for aviation and engineering led 2020 Harrison High School graduate Jacob Guilfoyle to an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy. He will join the class of 2025 as they report to the academy in Colorado Springs for basic training in June.
