While many will say goodbye to the old elementary buildings in the Southwest Local School District, one building will remain in use. On May 20 the Southwest Local Schools Board of Education voted to renovate Whitewater Valley Elementary School.
The Wall That Heals will get a unique escort when it comes to Harrison. On Tuesday, June 8, motorcyclists from all over will guide the wall from Versailles down U. S. 50 eventually ending at J.T.M. Food Group in Harrison where it will be on display June 10-13.

The intersection of Dry Fork and West roads will close starting Tuesday, June 1 for the construction of a round-a-bout. The approaches of the roads will be slightly realigned westward so the round-a-bout will be on existing right-of-way and on Southwest Local School District property.
