Five named ‘Heroes of Character’ in southeast Indiana

The Character Council of Greater Cincinnati has named five Southeast Indiana residents as Heroes of Character in honor of the difference they’ve made in their communities.The “Be the Change” ceremony, which intends to “recognize individuals of all ages within the Tri-state area whose peers nominated as upstanding citizens and people of character who make a difference in the world,” will be on April 11 in Sharonville.The Character Council considers individuals throughout Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana when selecting its honorees.Abby Fox, Logan Lawrence, Art Reckman and Rachel Reynolds were selected as adult recipients, and fifth-grader Brylee Haring was selected as the student recipient.“This year, the (winners) have been tireless volunteers, or found a need for something and were problem solvers so they found something needed to be done and took care of it,” said Susan Mitchell, Heroes Celebration co-chair.
