Southwest Schools raise fees to pay-to-play
The Southwest Local School Board voted unanimously to raise pay to play fees for the 2021-2022 school year. Fees will be raised $50 per sport.

Robert Kief is new Southwest school board member
Robert Kief will taken the open board position on the Southwest Local School District board. He replaces Linda Peak, who resigned in February.
Road work expected on Harrison Ave, West Road
Safety improvements are coming to Harrison Avenue and West Road. Harrison applied for safety funds through the Ohio Department of Transportation to improve areas that are considered dangerous.
Schools have no COVID cases
For the first time this school year, the Southwest Local School District had zero reported cases of COVID-19. Superintendent John Hamstra said this is big for the district after one of the hardest years in his 21-year career.
New Crosby firefighter brings experience
A new face was sworn into the Crosby Township Fire Department at the township trustees meeting on March 8. Mark Gaynor brings decades of experience to the department, according to Chief Jason Davis.

White’s Farm Flea Market is bringing a new business to Harrison’s Downtown Redevelopment District. Andi White’s request to open a business at 225 Harrison Ave.
