DILLSBORO – Billboard country music band Shenandoah will be making a pit stop in Dillsboro during its tour this year.The band will headline at the 2024 Dillsboro Homecoming Festival on Saturday, May 18, following an opening performance by The Renegades.Shenandoah is a country music band founded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
Club members Jeannie Wise, Fritzie Kuhlman, Beth Harnist, Brenda Manger, Gail Chuck and Trish Kluener cut a variety of greens (boxwood, golden mop, Norway spruce, white pine, holly and juniper) from their yards to stuff the Beautify Harrison Pots at the end of November so the Harrison maintenance crew can deliver them to downtown Harrison in time for the Dec.
DILLSBORO – SEI Communications has received $76,800 in grant funds from Indiana’s Office of Community and Rural Affairs to expand broadband access.A total of $637,346 was awarded in the eighth round of the Indiana Connectivity Program, with 175 addresses in 23 counties set to gain access to high-speed broadband.Grant funds will help bring reliable broadband access to 16 addresses in SEI Communications’ service area, which includes parts of Dearborn, Ripley, Ohio, Switzerland, Jennings and Jefferson counties.The Indiana Connectivity Program aims to connect residents and businesses lacking access to broadband internet service with service providers and assist in the expense of extending broadband to those locations.Internet Service Providers review these locations and submit bids to the state on the cost of providing service to these locations.
