MIAMITOWN – There will be pets galore at the third annual Miamitown Pet Palooza Saturday, June 22, in the town center on Ferry Street, which will be blocked off from vehicle traffic between State Route 128 and Hill Street.Partnering with the SPCA and other non-profit pet adoption agencies, the palooza centers around a pet adoption drive but also doubles as a pet-friendly event where visitors and their pets can mingle and shop.There will also be a stage with educational speakers and presenters, vendors selling pet-related and other items, food trucks, a pet fashion show, doggie cool-off stations, and an open-door invitation from local businesses for pets and their owners to visit.The SPCA’s Simmonds Farm office and Simmonds Family Dog Park are on the edge of town, and Miamitown also has a pet hospital, doggie day care, and a dog grooming business among its pet-related businesses in and around town.
