Foundation’s donation could lead to $7 million for Great Parks
Great Parks Forever, the philanthropic partner of Great Parks, has received a $3 million gift from The Farmer Family Foundation, plus a matching gift of up to $2 million that, together with community donations to secure the full match amount, could push the total value to $7 million.Funds will be applied to projects such as new trails, new park facilities and amenities and improved access to conservation areas as prioritized by members of the public in their vision for Great Parks’ future.“We are grateful to The Farmer Family Foundation not only for this generous gift but also for their leadership in inviting others to join in creating the park system the community has asked for,” said Tom Carleton, chief of philanthropy, Great Parks.
