Ohio County EMS nurse Jamie Works and Ohio County Extension Homemakers Charlotte DeVille and Sara Richard with over 60 items that Ohio County Extension Homemakers donated for Make A Difference Week. The items given to the schools included snacks, gloves, hats, socks and undergarments.
Thanks from Operation Christmas Child
Dear Editor, Despite a global pandemic, Dearborn County residents shared the true meaning of Christmas with children in need this past holiday season. Generosity throughout Southeast Indiana resulted in 11,488 shoebox gifts collected at curbside drop-off locations for the Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child.
Ohio River Foundation begins large habitat restoration
The Ohio River Foundation (ORF) is embarking on one of the largest habitat restoration project ever undertaken in Southwest Ohio. The project, made possible by a $50,000 grant from Coors Seltzer and its Change the Course partnership, will restore six miles of riverbank along three Ohio River tributaries: the Little Miami River, Great Miami River and O’Bannon Creek.
