Main Street Aurora has been designated as an accredited Main Street program for meeting performance standards. Each year, Main Street America and its partners announce the list of accredited programs to recognize their exceptional commitment to preservation-based economic development and community revitalization through the Main Street Approach.
Safe Passage was one of 28 domestic violence shelters to receive part of $500,000 from the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute through the Social Services Block Grant program. Safe Passage received Safe Passage received $20,000 to help provide overnight stay and shelter nights and for safety and supportive programming to domestic violence victims and their children.
