This year’s observance of Mental Health Month in May is more important than ever as people all over the world sustain the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The past year has forced the country to confront and cope with situations that have tested our resiliency.
Over the last couple of weeks groups of Cub Scouts have been scouring the riverfront for garbage to add to their bags. Each year, the Scouts participate in the Ohio River Sweep to keep the area looking sharp and free of trash.

The heart doctors with Mercy Health – The Heart Institute, Lawrenceburg, have moved to a different office. Their new office is at 360 Walnut St., Lawrenceburg.
“Our volunteers are the heart of our ministry and it is because of them that we are able to provide complete services to our patients,” said Rev. Patti Warning, chaplain and volunteer coordinator at Loving Hearts Hospice in Lawrenceburg and serving Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio and Ripley counties.
Lawrenceburg Public Library District will return to regular hours beginning Monday, May 3. The Main Library will be open 9 a.m.
Be The One will host a 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, May 22. The purpose of the 5K is to raise funds for the organization which assists adoptive families.
