There will be a lot of sanitized hands in this area. The United Way of Greater Cincinnati Southeast Indiana recently was donated 1,572 gallons yes, gallons – of hand sanitizer through a partnership with CINTAS Corp.

Safe Haven law expands baby box guidelines
Indiana’s Safe Haven Law allows a parent to surrender a newborn fewer than 30 days old to any hospital emergency room, fire station, police station or Safe Haven Baby Box without fear of prosecution.
Mountain Mission truck picking up
The Rising Sun United Methodist Church will once again be collecting items for the United Methodist Mountain Mission Truck, May 14- 18. Use cardboard boxes, because they stack much easier than bags in the back of the trucks and the cardboard will be sold for gas money.

Registration underway for Carrigan Scholarship 5K run

Foundation’s grant supports Alzheimer’s groups
The Dearborn Community Foundation (DCF) Inc. recently awarded a $1,000 proactive grant to the Alzheimer’s Support Groups of Southeast Indiana Inc. that will be used to improve the quality of life to residents in 10 regional nursing homes.
Blood drive in Dillsboro
The Dillsboro Civic Club and Hoxworth Blood Center will cosponsor a blood drive from 1:30-7 p.m. on Monday June 21, at the Dillsboro Civic Center.
