Dear editor, Following a global pandemic that has placed unprecedented pressure on our state’s public health system, I thought this would be the year lawmakers got serious about public health. Apparently, I was wrong.

Month to celebrate strength, ambition, courage

Each year, March is designated as National Women’s month with a special presidential proclamation to honor the achievements of American women. This celebration began nationally in 1981 with a week in March being declared as Women’s History Week. In 1987 a new bill was passed which proclaimed the entire month of March as Women’s History Month which helps to celebrate the contributions women had made in a variety of fields.

Don’t let anyone tell you you don’t belong

Being a female who has worked in a “man’s” world my entire career, I would like to share my thoughts a b o u t National Women’s Month. I support it and think that it is important that we recognize women and the accomplishments that they have made. It is great to see so many qualified and accomplished women in leadership roles and in male-dominated industries today where they were not included in the past.

South Dearborn made wrong decision

Dear Editor: As a former employee of the South Dearborn School Corporation and a person that has been around since the corporation started I speak with some knowledge. I have seen from being an employee at the high school from 2005 to 2019 attendance go from around 1,150 students to under 800.
