Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother Betty Kay Billman, 86, of Acton, died Wednesday, Oct. 18th, 2023, at the home she shared with her husband for more than 50 years.

Betty was born Oct. 1, 1937, to Gertrude and Floyd Zimmerman. She graduated from Dillsboro High School. She married Robert “Dutch” Billman on April 7, 1955.

He preceded her in death in 2012. Betty was also preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother, William Zimmerman; her sister, Barbara Zimmerman; two of her children, Barbara Billman and William “Bill” Billman; and a grandson, Dustin Billman. She is survived by her loving sons, David (Rhonda) Billman of London, Rick (Cindy) Billman of Martinsville, Steve (Donna) Billman of Boggstown, and Andrew (Karen) Billman of Indianapolis; and her care giver, Renee Schmitt. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a long-time member of Remedy Christian Church in Indianapolis. She was a homemaker for many years and the best cook in Johnson County. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and fishing with her husband Dutch. She also enjoyed playing euchre with her friends and putting together countless puzzles. She will be heavily missed by her family and everyone that knew her.
