Bessie M. Retherford (nee Royse), 103, died April 17, 2023, in Cleves, Ohio.

Beloved wife of the late James Retherford Sr., devoted mother of James Retherford Jr. (Charlotte), Gary Retherford (Sally), and the late Eunice Ann Retherford, loving grandmother of Sandy Greer (John), Randy Retherford (Vicki), Gary Retherford (Rachel), Tonya Watson, Teresa Lawhorn, Debbie Folmar (George), Susanne Robinson; Steven, Dennis, and David Offill, great-grandmother of Christy, Katelyn, Derek, Brooke, Madison, Ian, Gus, Cory, Cliff, Brandon, Allisa, Denny, Justin, David Jr., and Bryan, numerous great-great-grandchildren, beloved sister of the late Billie Dunn, Gertie Retherford, and Roy “Gene” Royse.

Bessie was a member of the Addyston Baptist Church.

Visitation is Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami Ave., Cleves, Ohio, 45002.
