Miamitown Elementary is officially on the market. According to Southwest Local School District Treasurer Thomas Lowe, the school building was placed on the market for sale last week.
The Whitewater Trustees could adopt a new street for a development that could bring 16 single family units on the south side of Harrison Avenue near Buena Vista Drive. According to Scott Huber, the site civil engineer with Abercrombie and Associates, the development would be 16 single family units in eight attached buildings on a single parcel of land.
The Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) in Harrison is expanding. The CRA is an economic development program through the state that allows cities to consider tax abatements on structural tax valuations, according to Economic Development Director Shannon Hamons.
The Harrison Police Department is one step closer to getting a new utility vehicle. Yeager-Benson Memorial American Legion Post 199’s 1st Vice Commander Jerry Wilson presented a check for $1,199 to Mayor Bill Neyer and Police Chief Charles Lindsey at the City Council meeting on Feb.
