Harrison racer first in modified at L’burg Speedway

Harrison residents will soon be able to travel around town with their under speed, low speed and utility vehicles. Council voted to adopt the ordinance that regulates low speed vehicles, like golf carts, and their travel around town April 6.
Spring was slowly regressing to winter when Summer stepped up. Summer Jacobs, the senior centerfielder for Harrison High School’s softball team, made a couple of diving catches to thwart Fairfield’s hopes for a comeback and give the Wildcats a 10-5 road win April 20.

Ronald Scott Kercheval “Scott”, of Harrison, passed away on April 24, 2021, at the age of 57. He was born in Cincinnati on May 11, 1963 to Ronald and Judith (Rapking) Kercheval.
The Republican primary election is set to take place on May 4. Harrison voters will decide who will represent the Republican Party in the race for city council in November. There are no democratic candidates.
The expansion of the Rumpke Inc. Bond Road landfill in Whitewater Township sparked discussion at four public meetings including one in Indiana. The recent purchase of 466 additional acres on Bond Road has people urging elected officials to take action.
There will be no virtual school next year for Southwest Local School District students. Students will return to face-to-frace learning when school opens in August, with the exception of students in the invite-only Wildcat Academy, according to Southwest Local Schools Assistant Superintendent Corinne Hayes.
