Norman J. Mick was born in Hamilton, Ohio on Dec. 23, 1945. He received a strong religious family upbringing from his parents, Elmer N. and Anna Mick. He attended St. Ann’s parochial school in his formative years. He later graduated from Hamilton Catholic High School. His family’s strong religious background led him to attend St. Gregory Seminary to search out his vocational calling. Later he went on to study business administration and accounting at Xavier University.
Robert P. Welsh of Brookville, Indiana, passed away on June 12, 2021, at the age of 91.
“You think about all your buddies that you left behind. ... It makes you feel, you’re grateful that you made it back. But we’ll never forget these people. You know, these men and these ladies had served over in Vietnam. It’s always emotional.”
