Nine-year old Luna DeBruler, of Lawrenceburg, captured the Girls 9 & Under gold medal for Sanbon Kumite (Light Class) during the AAU Karate National Championships Wednesday, July 2 at Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Representing Bright’s Nishime Martial Arts team, Luna was the defending 2024 AAU national champion in weapons, Luna won her latest title in the national meet at the Broward County Convention Center.(DeBruler photo)
