James L. Brummett, 91, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024. He was born January 4, 1933, in Corbin, Ky., son of the late Franklin and Mary (Wilson) Brummett.
 James was a veteran of the U.S. Army during Korea. He was a past member of Niagra Street Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds Fan. He loved to fish. He worked as a welder at General Electric.
 He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Ken) Meyer of Milford, Ohio; son, James Darrell Brummett of Ham­ilton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Courtney (Darren) Foertsch, Malia Mitchum; and three great-grandchildren, Caydence Miller, Kierstyn Miller, Casey Miller.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Mary Brummett; wife, Vina Ruth Brummett; daughter-in-law, Diane Brummett; two brothers and two sisters.
 Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ken Meyers officiating.
 Interment will follow in Gibson Cemetery, Bright, Ind.
